The Listening Engine brings company intelligence into marketing.

Useful information already exists in sales calls, support records, product behavior, customer work, and leadership decisions. The Listening Engine gives that information a route into the marketing decision it can change.

The problem it solves

Marketing is often accountable for pipeline while the strongest evidence about buyers sits elsewhere. A call recorder may summarize sales calls. A support tool may group tickets. Neither tells marketing which signal should change the message, campaign, offer, or priority.

The Listening Engine is the routing layer between those sources and the marketing decision.

Declared sources, not a data grab

Every engagement begins with a source inventory. Northstar Stack uses only the sources needed for the stated question and records what is unavailable.

  • Buyer language, objections, deal movement, and loss reasons
  • Support patterns, account history, churn evidence, and customer research
  • Product behavior, roadmap changes, competitive movement, and written leadership decisions
  • Current campaigns, work trackers, calendar load, and the metrics marketing is expected to move

The evidence stays attached

A signal carries its source, date, context, and evidence status. Direct facts are separated from inference. Estimates show their assumptions. Sales-call themes require an independent source before they become company findings.

This matters because a polished summary can be wrong in a way that is hard to inspect. A source-linked finding can be challenged, corrected, or accepted quickly.

Signals are routed to a decision

The output is not a larger research archive. Each supported signal is tied to the marketing question it affects, the person who can decide, and the next review point. Low-value repetition can be summarized. A material contradiction is raised rather than averaged away.

Built for action, not another archive

The Listening Engine delivers source-linked evidence to the marketing work it can change. A rising objection can reach a landing page. Repeated churn language can change acquisition copy. A roadmap shift can update launch work before the old version ships.

The source stays attached so the team can move quickly without losing the difference between a direct fact, a supported interpretation, and an open question. See the full documentation for the record model.
